Water Quality Assessment of Nigerian Port Authority Waterway in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria

The aim of this study is to assess the water quality Nigerian Port Authority Water way. A cross-sectional was carried out using a composite sampling method, where three samples were collected randomly from each station ensure that representative entire station. taken four different locations along waterway with new unused bottles, chosen based on level port activity in area. thereafter analysed for physiochemical parameters, and heavy metal, compared World Health Organization's Permissible Limits. Data analyses covered descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient analysis, Agglomerative hierarchy clustering, parallel coordinate plot Quality Index computation. results showed most parameters above standards, indicating potential risk bioaccumulation. index found range 3192.635 5061.35 stations, poor unsuitable consumption, irrigation purposes. identified Lead Salinity as main contaminant waterway.
